The Story – Reigning Kings

The Story

Once upon a time in a medieval era there were rulers of all sorts roaming the land, kings and queens of all types hashing out orders to all the people who served below them. Society at this time went with the ordeal out of fear for the lives of their families and their own. The kings and queens at the time would cause great stress and ask of ridiculous things.
Until one day that all changed…

You see the current king had ordered that one of his servants walk down to where he had all his sheep roaming and that he shave the fur of one hundred sheep in order to make a new blanket for his dog? That’s right this was a blanket to made for his very own miniature poodle. Little did the king know that down below in the pastor was a sheep like no other sheep, this sheep had enough of being shaved for no reason and wasn’t going to stand for it any longer.
As the servant approached the sheep pastor he notice one of them standing above the rest, the sheep was giving a speech on how they shall rise above the rest and take back what dignity they have left.

The servant slowly approached the crowd of sheep and gently spoke in fear:

“I was sent to shave one hundred sheep to make a blanket for the kings pet, can I do such a thing?”

The sheep speaking turned to the servant and responded:

“Mare servant sent to do the kings dirty work, we know that you are just doing as you are told, but no you may not shave one hundred sheep and I would like to be taken to the king to speak right now.”

The servant awoken from his zombie like state perked up and toke the sheep directly to the king. Along the way the sheep instructed the servant to hand over the sheers he had been holding, and to run away and to never return for his services were no longer going to be needed.

As the sheep rose to the top of the castle where the king laid he made a stop to where the kings pet was resting, he then proceeded to shave the poodle completely leaving nothing behind and continued on his way. The king was sleeping when he arrived, but as he awoke he had found that poodle hair had been snuggly glued to his head and face. He quickly rose out of bed and there sat Jonas the sheep where he sat quietly legs crossed with the crown on.

The king yelled out at him:

“What do you think you are doing with my crown on?”

The sheep responded with a smirk and witty response:

“What do you think you are doing with that poodle hair on?”

The king furious began to call all his servants and helpers and guards to remove the sheep form the castle but as he slept all the other sheep had taken over the castle and instructed everyone to just hang out and enjoy each others company. The sheep, servants and all the kings’ men were all below in the bar of the castle singing together and drinking delicious beer.

The sheep then instructed the king to step down and to join everyone else in the fun and told him that everyone and everything deserves the opportunity to feel like a king even if just for a day. He told him that no longer would the people of the land be told what to do but instead would be shown how to enjoy everything. The king out of humiliation ran out of the castle, and as he exited the castle Jonas the sheep yelled out to him and the land simply with:

“In here everyone is king!”
